So another problem I have with the Potter series is the way werewolves are treated by the wizarding community. Werewolves are only dangerous once a month on a full moon, everyone knows this, which means that the rest of the time the werewolves are just normal people. So why are they treated with mistrust and made into outcasts? A prejudice with no reason, even a bad reason, means nothing.
And it’s not like it’s a matter of fearing them because of the danger they pose as “monsters,” because apparently vampires are tolerated. Hell, Slughorn even had one attend his Christmas party. So why do the werewolves get treated like shit? This kind of pointless hypocracy just confuses me.
